Welcome to the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). Mr. Michael R. Winn, Director, and his staff would like to
take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our website.
We at the CAVHS are excited about our website, which is the newest component of our continuing
commitment to providing veterans and their families with convenient access to important health care information and services.
We hope that the content has been organized so that you easily find the information needed, and that we have made it easy to
reach us should you require any assistance.
The CAVHS is one of the largest veterans healthcare systems in the
country with an annual operating budget of over $400 million, more than 2900 employees, and a total of 534 operating beds.
Our healthcare centers provide a comprehensive array of services including primary, tertiary, and extended care. In
addition, there are four community-based outpatient clinics throughout Central Arkansas and a Drop-In Treatment Center
for homeless veterans in Little Rock. We are a teaching hospital and enjoy a close working relationship with the CAVHS'
primary research and education affiliate, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
