The Towbin Healthcare Center, located in North Little Rock, is situated atop bluffs overlooking the Arkansas River. It is the former U.S. Army Calvary post (Fort Roots) which was constructed in 1890. Sharing the same grounds is a four-story, modern, 395-bed hospital which includes Extended Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitative units, and primary care. Its design encourages a new approach to the delivery of medical care.
