The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) wants to make sure you get the best care possible. If you have a compliment, suggestion or concern regarding your care, first speak with your treatment team.  Your treatment team includes your doctor, nurse, social worker, dietitian, pharmacist, chaplain, therapist and other professionals associated with your medical care.  

 
If you have concerns that were not addressed, ask to speak with the treatment team member’s supervisor or the Chief of the Service.  If your concern is still unresolved, please contact the Patient Advocate who can assist you, if appropriate, in addressing your concern.  A Patient Advocate is an employee who is specifically designated at each VHA facility to manage the feedback received from veterans, family members and friends.  The Patient Advocate works directly with management and employees to facilitate resolutions.  You may contact the Patient Advocate for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System at 257-5410. The main office is located in room 2C-147, Patient Care Services Office, at the John L. McClellan facility, and at the Towbin VAMC NLR, room 1F-106; for Primary Care related concerns please see Mr. Behrens or Mr. Tabieros in room’s 3D-104, or 3E-101A.

Please complete and return any survey that you may receive in the mail after a visit or stay with VA.  Each Veteran's survey is used to help VA identify opportunities for improvement and to note positive trends — locally, regionally and nationally. These include the SHEP and Press Ganey surveys.

You may also send feedback to VA via our website at https://iris.va.gov  once you enter the website select ask a question. It will give you several options including asking a question, making a compliment, or filing a complaint.
